WILDCAST.tv is a new video sharing service dedicated to the outdoors! Members may watch, upload, and share videos all for FREE! Genre's expected to be shared are: Hunting, Bow Hunting, Fishing, Camping, and any other outdoor activities members wish to share!
What sets WILDCAST.tv apart from other video sharing sites, is that it is dedicated to everything outdoors! That's right, you won't have to wade through piles of videos to get to the action, because it's ALL action! What sets us apart from other hunting video sites, is we're not just hunting, or one style of hunting. Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Survival, or whatever other outdoor activities our members wish to share! Also we give our members more space, more bandwidth and no limit on the number of videos you can upload!

The basic service provided by WILDCAST.tv is and always will be FREE! We may decide to offer premium services in the future, however that will not alter the basic services which will remain FREE!

WILDCAST.tv is a video sharing website that works much like other popular video sharing sites like YouTube and MetaCafe. If you are familiar with sharing videos on these sites, you should have no problem putting your videos on WILDCAST.tv.
For those that are not, here is a quick tutorial:
Register for a free account
on WILDCAST.tv (If you haven't done so already).
Once you've verified your account,
Log in
Click the
UPLOAD
button in the upper right of the page.
Fill in the
Title
,
Description
, and
Tags
fields. Be sure to be as descriptive about the content of your video as possible in the description field, and use the tags field for key words to help people find your video when searching WILDCAST.tv.
Select the channel that your video best fits under. This is also important for helping people find your videos.
Fill out the optional information if you wish (most people skip the optional info) and click the
Next>>
button.
Click the
Browse...
button.
Browse your computer for the video file you want to upload. Select the file and click
Open
(Tip:
Here is a list of acceptable video formats.
)
Click the
Upload
button.
Wait for your video to finish uploading.
When your video is finished uploading you will get a message indicating that the upload was successful.
[/list]
Note:
Depending on the file size and length of your video, it may take anywhere from a few minutes, to an hour to process. During this time, your video will not be available to watch. When your video is ready, it will show up under
your profile
.

How good is the video quality on WildCast.TV?
«
Reply #7 on:

That is limited to the quality of video being uploaded by members. A video can never be better than it's source. On average you can expect video quality to be as good or better than most other video sharing websites.

Why do I have to register a separate account on the forum?
«
Reply #8 on:

The forum and the main website use different databases. At one time they were on the same database and shared the same account information. This proved to be too much of a headache when it came time to update or change anything on the site, so we decided to separate them again. It is easy to register on the forum as well as the main website and you are welcome to use the same username/password for both.

Why do I keep seeing references to "Wild Extremes" on the forum?
«
Reply #9 on:

The forum database was moved from an old website that I used to maintain "WildExtremes.TV" so many of the old posts with references to Wild Extremes still exist. As time goes on those posts should become less noticeable as new posts are added by the community.
