Hey all we are almost ready to start up again. I have put the word out that some work will be done tonight on the target butts and the opening of the group for the year will be next Tuesday night at 6:30.
If you would like to see the facilities come on out tonight and then come back next Tuesday November 17 and do some shooting with us.
More info to following and watch for cancelations throug the winter on here, the radio stateions and by email. If I have your email you will get reminders of us shooting as well.
Hope to see all return from past years and hope some new shooters can join us as well.
I figure I might as well put an invite on all the sites I visit as you never know who is on here and is close enough to come. LOL

Hello again.
We had our first night last night and I had the expected number of people. The die hards and we ended up with 7 shooters. The evening went well with everyone having a good time. It is very therapeutic to go and just watch and not shoot at all.
We did have one interesting situation arise as an arrow came off a bow and seemed to break into two pieces. one part went high over the net and the other way left. I have never seen that before the shooter did not get hit at all. Thank heavens for that. HAHAHA no pun intended.
All in all another good night and I honestly don't expect the numbers to get to high until the new year.
Thanks for the support.

An interesting start to the year for sure. with some background stuff going on at the church that caused me some grief looks like it may be all straightened out now and the club continues to move forward.
Last night we had 10 and I am not really expecting many more than that until the new year arrives. I think it is going well and we even has a young fellow there which is about 6 or 7 I think he is.
Thanks for checking in.
Me thinks I had better remember my camera next week..... Yikes

Hello all
First off I am sorry for not posting that we were shooting last night but I plum forgot as I was very busy here at work. While I was there it looked like everyone was having a good time though.
I think with the gym being used by another group next week and that putting us into the Christmas week we will hold off shooting untill the 5th of January. I look forward to getting together with you all then.
Have a very Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year.

Can you believe it I remembered to take a camera. LOL
We had a very good night tonight and actually had one new shooter. That was nice to see. I think it was 10 shooters but we had some fun with a couple bringing in a dartboard type target. I see a lot of fun in the future.
Well here are some photos for your enjoyment. I am sorry for some blurriness as the camera is new to me.
Enjoy.

I was realy pleased at the numbers at the club tonight. We had 15 shooters tonight and two were new to the group. we had them range from Young,
to older. This is the young fellow aboves Grandfather and his Dad. Nothing like keeping it in the family. I love it.
I even had a real good night with the compound and managed one of the best groups I have ever had. BT no I did not walk up and stick them in the target butt . I realy did shoot this group.
Then I went and did this. I am not sure what happened there.
Some played Darts and were having what looked like a lot of fun. Me thinks the recurve will go with me next week.
Now some random shots of the night.
Eastern even tried his first attempt at making an authentic trad bow that the Natives would have used while riding at full speed on there horses. Nice working Bow.
and then another trad shooter had to try it.

No photos for today but we did have some fun shooting last night. a great mix of people and styles of shooting from Longbows to compounds and we all get along and tease each other. eastern does not like a play by play announcement behind him while he is shooting though.... LOL
The relaxed atmosphere seems to be what keeps people coming back and I love seeing different people helping out in the kitchen tinkering with bows to get them just the way a person wants it.
People standing around even just chatting and not even thinking of shooting and enjoying the fun of the night and forgetting there worries outside the gym for a while. I even manage to do that too. Laughter and fun had by all. OH and a few stray arrows as well. LOL
